Eminem - Campaign Speech

This deserves it's own post.

Eminem has been pretty quiet as of late. However out of nowhere, Shady just dropped 8 minutes of politically influenced rap. He literally offers his opinion on everything from Black Lives Matter to Zimmerman to the current political race. It is literally over the most minimalist production possible. So enjoy the bars.

We Here at the Ovadose Would like to Officially Endorse Flair-Flame for the 2016 US Presidential Election

Now to those who are friends of this blog, you understand my affection for Waka Flocka. The dude is quite underrated. First of all, he can rap. But he chooses not to because he rather make party anthems to get wild to. However, the homey can spit. Yet, the thing I enjoy about him the most is the homey is true. SO straightforward and level minded that I can run with a dude that advocates for the well-being of animals and other social endeavours. To know you have a following and you use it to do good, I respect that.

A few years back, Waka started to get deep into the political game. He first signed up to be an official candidate for the 2016 election last year...

But then he realized quickly that the majority of the power comes from the congress. So then he became a candidate to run for Speaker of the House...

Now due to legislation that prevents him from running (too young), he's found the most epic of running mates to run for the presidential race...16 time heavyweight champion of the world Ric Flair!!! We would like to formally endorse these two individuals for the upcoming presidential election. BRICKSQUAD and the 4 Horseman. North Korea, Russia, the nWo...nothing can stop em now.

Solange Potentially Dropped the Album of the Year...

First of all, congratulations to the Knowles sisters for being the first sisters to ever have Number 1 albums. Seriously. The first sisters to have solo number 1 albums. Much respect. But this album is a lyrical and spiritual RKO. It came out of nowhere. Let me explain why this album is simply stunning.

The second you press play, you're immediately encompassed by an album that shows you the growth of a young black woman. The intricacies associated with the pain and joy of a young black woman in modern day America are exemplified in this project over fantastic melodies that immediately give you the sense of a D'Angelo Voodoo vibe. But it's the content in the music that outweighs the entire project. The discussions of the black female struggle in 2016 discussing modern day Civil Rights movements alongside the well documented and heavily ignored plight of black Americans are given a new light in Solange's narrative. She does especially well since her voice is ameliorated by the jazz vibe throughout the entire album, while touching base with her personal plights as well as those with her family. It is an absolutely incredible project that somehow encompasses all of the tension, pain, pride, sorrow and temporary solace alongside the beautiful production of the legendary Raphael Saadiq. The melodies are almost meditative where you end up finding yourself lost in the words of a woman who rightly found her place in the world, cementing her spot at the table at the Knowles family reunion. Do not sleep on this album. It's an experience that Solange has shared with us that I am extremely thankful for. Remember to support your favorite artists...and this is one project you should support.
