Thom Glunt's idea for "Descended From Myth" was a perfect fit for the song. I've been asked time and time again, 'How do you make your records? What does the process look like?' So the idea that the song came from a massive musical automaton of sorts seemed to be a great narrative for a song like this. - RJ

Kendrick Lamar X Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (Remix)

Let's give respect to where respect is deserved. Kendrick and Imagine Dragons destroyed The Grammys as you can see above. The internet is buzzing about their performance and the hip hop community, including Macklemore, have stated that K. Dot was robbed. What does K. Dot do? Roll up his sleeves and take over the music industry...again. Watch TDE make major moves in 2014. Trust.

Download the track on iTunes here.

Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo (Album)

ANNNND THE FIRST TDE DROP OF 2014. Let me tell you, with the lack of respect from the Grammys for Kendrick, TDE will definitely turn up for this year.

Goddamn f*** the Grammys.

Support your favorite artists. Like this guy. Purchase the album!

Wayback Playback - DJ Khaled - Hip Hop ft. Scarface and Nas

The reason I'm posting this is I want to remind everyone as to what rap is all about; depicting a story using your words to display emotion and imagery. On the night of the Grammys, I'm hearing a lot of talk about who's going to win the Grammy for best Rap Album. Now you need to see where Rap has gone over the years since the days of the boom bap and kids mixing tracks on basic Casio machines.

Drake - Nothing Was The Same

Jay-Z - Magna Carta...Holy Grail

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - The Heist

Kanye West - Yeezus

Truly this is the most diverse group of nominees in the entire history of the Grammy awards, in my opinion. Each album is distinctly different from one another. They are all intrinsically different from upbringings, to style, to how they came to be as the mainstay names in hip hop. Now I personally have my own opinions on who truly had the best album (come on...who's album in that list was an INSTANT classic?) but whoever ends up winning will have to respect the other giants who stand among them and feel as if they shouldn't. Each of those individuals have made a serious impact on society, entertainment and their respective fan bases. Whether it's Drake's ballads for his city, or Jay-Z's attempt at keeping a balance between his lifestyle-past or present, or Kendrick Lamar's depiction of growth into positivity in an environment plagued with failure and destitution, or Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's live free and respect your common man message, or Ye's artistic methods to depict his emotions on life...we can't forget what hip hop/rap is...and for this, I look forward to what rap will evolve to in the coming years.

Edcity and Ronaldinho - Vai Na Fe (Video)

To get Brasil ready for the World Cup, popular Brazillian rap artist Ed City and The Futbol Legend Ronaldinho link up for one of many anthems for Brasil. Vai Na Fe translates to Go in Faith. So yeah...not bad.
